ZOMG. FOXY LIVES. (and there's about two of you out there that will get that.)

I know I've been all over the place style-wise -- mainly because I've just toying around with my new tablet. This wasn't the page I had originally planned, but time gets in the way. :/

I'm toying with digital inking/drawing, but I doubt I'll seriously switch. Although, to be honest, inking human beings is something I can't do for the life of me (critters and anthropomorphic animals give me no troubles, though! wtf!) They flatten out, and lose all the vitality I can sketch into them! (Sort of like this portrait versus the characters on the first cover. They looked a LOT more lively before I inked them! D:)

Oh wells.

NO NEW PAGE THIS WEEK. D:

There will be new pages on Tuesday AND Friday of next week to make up for it! I am currently battling my flash midterm animation, leaving little time to ink/color this week's page!

My apologies! :(

Scritchy Scratchy! Ugh!

This page does NOT mark a new inkless "stylistic" choice. In fact, I will be coming back to it at some point to try and re-ink it. (The current inked version is completely butt-tastic and lacking any line vitality whatsoever) -- I am usually not a fan of computer colors over pencils, but I don't have the time and patience to needle over this -- and I have promised to stick to at least a semblance of an update scheduele this time around.

So, I'm grinning, bearing, and moving on. <3

PS -- kittens do not make good cartooning assistants. Basil, the newest addition to my household is an adorably annoying distraction from ALL of my work! D:

New page will be up tommorrow.

New kitten + stress + problems with the page layout = delay.

Sorry guys!

Cityscapes are hard. LET'S GO SHOPPING.

I need to start drawing on location again and taking advangtage of urban setting while I still live here in NYC. Everything from Ruggeri's class is fading away. :( :( :(

Tuesdays only (most likely) for the time-being! :( :( :( [Jan. 15th, 2006|10:38 am]
HAY. YOU. (Yes, you!)

Rehashing and reorganizing these first few pages is taking longer than I anticipated, especially since I just started a new (and my final!) semester of college, and commissions are keeping me busy. (But I'm not complaining, because it keeps me away from part-time retail hell!)

Things will pick up, and twice-weekly updates will regularly commence after about the tenth page or so, once I break into the buffer of pages I've set up! I AM working on TC regularly as part of my portfolio (and am up to about page thirty,) but I'm also learning the mysteries of animating with Flash, and re-learning my love of silkscreening and bookmaking.

(Expect TC shirts and other goodies for sale, soon!) I'll also be linking to art-auctions in here from time to time, and until further notice, will be the only way I offer commissions, or sell original art. (Unless you make me an offer I can't refuse)

It's BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-AAAACK!

(Thanks to like, all three of you who kept checking back!)

I will have a new page daily for the next day or two, so check back tommorrow for the chapter one cover, and thursday for *gasp* actual sequential art and STORY.

<3 <3 <3

PS -- happy birthday to ME.

Should I bother keeping this thing here? I feel like the main page is starting to look way too crowded, and keenspace's advertisements need to just be smacked in the face. I know it's a free service, and I am ever grateful for that, but would implementing/requesting a uniform size for ad banners be too much to ask? Probably!

(ps -- does anyone know how to make an iframe's scrollbar the same color as the prettied-up general scrollbar?)

Enough ranting, though -- Progress is being made in the pages themselves, I test-colored a page yesterday, and think that solid Graytone will be the way to go for the most-part, and play with screentones sparingly. Pencilling-wise, I am up to page 26.

My one focus point will have to be the first few pages. I won't be changing anything too drastically, aside from scrapping some of the really crappy old panels and the page where Khadi is introduced -- as well as getting rid of Siw's internal narration. I never meant for the comic to be narrated by anyone, and while I love Siw's snarkiness, it doesn't look good visually, and doesn't fit with the spirit of what I intend to do. It was a quick and cheap cop-out from two years ago, when I was still battling with how to proceed. (Ugh, two year old ages! Bleh!)

Yeah.
